About Overdrivebonus

Overdrivebonus is a small site with one rule: six free browser games, one from each corner of the shelf, all played properly before anything was written about them.

The rule, and why it holds

One game per genre forces a decision instead of a hedge. If we think Grepolis is the island war worth your time, we have to say so and leave the alternatives off the page.

It also keeps the crate honest. Adding a seventh game would mean doubling up on a corner, and that is where lists start padding.

Who packs it

Two of us, with the usual background: too many hours in loot games, a weakness for production chains and one abandoned city in almost every builder ever released.

We play on ordinary accounts, the same as anybody reading this.

When a corner changes hands

A game leaves when it stops being the best in its corner, when the servers thin out, or when an update makes the first week hostile. The replacement write-up always says what happened to the previous occupant.
